‘It must be the food of love, play on’

On Saturday 20th May we are looking forward to having leading international pianist Finghin Collins play at the Green Barn.

Finghin Collins established his reputation by winning the 1999 Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland. He has played at Carnegie Hall, the Barbican, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and the Berlin Konzerthaus, and has twice performed at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall. This year he is releasing a new CD featuring the music of Chopin, and he will be playing Chopin, plus Debussy and Rachmaninov, with the following programme

Chopin: Prelude Op. 45, Four Mazurkas Op. 17, Nocturne Op. 48 no. 1, Polonaise-Fantasie Op. 61 Debussy: “Images” Book one: Reflets dans l’eau, Hommage à Rameau, Mouvement Rachmaninov: Seven Preludes from Op. 23

The evening will start with a drinks reception, a 40 minute recital followed by a Green Barn Board Dinner with a glass of wine included, to be followed by a second 40 minute recital. €45 per person.
