A Place to Slow Down
The Studio has been designed as somewhere to properly switch off.
Natural light pours through the large windows, with wooden floors, oversized bookshelves, art, books and collected pieces giving the space the relaxed, individual character of Burtown.
Upstairs, the mezzanine provides a private sitting area overlooking the gardens, with an open fire for colder evenings and plenty of books and magazines to disappear into.
Put some music on, light the fire and settle in.
Sleep
At the heart of the Studio is a large rustic four-poster bed, surrounded by light and views towards the gardens.
The interiors mix contemporary materials — timber floors, polished concrete and simple finishes — with antique and individual pieces collected over time.
A private shower room completes the space.
Your Own Garden
Open the doors and step directly into the secluded south-facing Stable Yard garden.
Surrounded by old walls and filled with lavender, planting and pots, it provides a lovely private place for morning coffee, an evening drink or a simple supper outdoors. Guests also have their own barbecue for relaxed summer evenings in the garden.
Beyond are the wider gardens of Burtown, the kitchen garden, sculpture park, woodland and wildflower meadows.
