“What a difference a well decorated space makes. Many Airbnbs are just bland and sterile but James’ studio room was like staying in a close friend’s tastefully decorated home. The space was so clean and fresh, the sunlight streaming in from all sides is incredible (there are blinds on every single window in case that’s not to your taste though). It was just such a cosy, but revitalising space to stay in. Even our anxious dog immediately felt at home when we entered the room. The walks and nature around the property is lovely, the gardens are currently going through some changes, but it was still magnificent. Lastly, The Green Barn restaurant on the premises is a 2 mins walk from the room, and the food is incredible, even for a picky eater such as myself. I want to add that although James was available at all times en super responsive, we hardly saw him or anyone besides the gardening team, we had as much privacy and peace as we wanted. We’ll definitely be back again”
Michelle AirBnB - September 2024
“Our stay in the stable yard studio apartment was the perfect way to both jumpstart our tour of Ireland, and also ease our way into vacation. The studio apartment itself is a treasure, and was a great refuge to recover from jet lag. And then the grounds of Burtown House - the gardens! What a treasure, so rich in history, so full of natural beauty. And then for us, the icing on te cake was the restaurant, where we had brunch one day, and lunch the other. Incredible and not to be missed. James was a wonderful and accommodating host. So thankful we booked our stay here”

“James was extremely helpful both prior to check in and when we arrived. The location is absolutely beautiful and we were blown away. The place is brilliantly kept and has such picturesque surroundings. Perfect for a nice relaxing weekend in nature. We actually got engaged while we were here and there could not have been in a nicer setting . The adjacent green farm shop and restaurant is also stunning and the staff were very friendly and informative . We will definitely be back”
