Celebrations at Burtown
Some occasions deserve more than simply booking a table.
We can create private and semi-private gatherings around the way you would actually like to celebrate — perhaps a long seasonal lunch, cocktails followed by dinner, a summer gathering amongst the gardens or an evening of food, drinks and music.
Menus are created by The Green Barn kitchen and reflect the same seasonal approach to food found throughout Burtown.

For celebrations centred around food, The Green Barn provides a warm and atmospheric setting for lunches and dinners.
Different areas of the restaurant allow us to accommodate both smaller groups and larger gatherings, with the bar, terraces and surrounding gardens allowing drinks and dinner to become part of a longer occasion.
For something smaller and more intimate, The Burtown Pantry offers a relaxed private setting for lunches, dinners and family gatherings.
Opening onto its own courtyard and sitting beside The Burtown Shop, it works particularly well for occasions where you want the space to yourselves without the formality of a larger venue.
During the warmer months, the Floral Garden Tent offers a completely different way to celebrate.
Set amongst the gardens, with flowers, planting and the estate surrounding you, it is particularly suited to summer lunches, dinners and celebrations that move naturally between indoors and out.
For larger celebrations, parties and evenings with music, the Stream Barn gives us an entirely new kind of space at Burtown.
Set beside the stream and woodland garden, with covered verandas opening onto the landscape, it has been designed as a flexible space for gatherings that need room to take on a life of their own.
From milestone birthdays and family celebrations to dinner followed by dancing, the Stream Barn allows us to create something considerably more individual than a conventional function room.
A celebration doesn’t necessarily have to end after dinner.
Our accommodation on the estate allows family and friends to stay at Burtown, turning an evening into a weekend or giving everyone somewhere to retreat to after the last drink.
The Stable Yard House and Studio offer characterful accommodation close to the heart of the estate, with our new Eco Barn Cabins adding another way to stay surrounded by the Burtown landscape.
However you choose to celebrate, food remains at the centre of the experience.
Our chefs work with the seasons, using produce from the estate alongside carefully sourced ingredients to create menus suited to the occasion — from relaxed lunches and sharing-style gatherings to more traditional dinners.
Add cocktails, carefully chosen wines and perhaps drinks beforehand in The Pantry or gardens, and the celebration can unfold naturally rather than feeling like a fixed package.
