The gardens at Burtown will reopen this February
The gardens at Burtown will reopen this February 8th - February 22nd from 10.00am-4pm daily. The gardens will then reopen for the season on April 12th 2014.
The gardens and woodland are full of old varieties of snowdrops in natural plantings, with large swathes of aconites, hellebores, cyclamen, and early bulbs.
The Gallery Cafe will be open every day serving hearty organic lunches from our kitchen garden, as well as fresh homemade cakes, coffee, tea, and other goodies.
The Gallery Exhibition will be “February Flowers”- an exhibition of paintings by different botanical and garden artists, including resident artists Wendy Walsh and Lesley Fennell. As well as paintings, there will be sculpture, by Eileen MacDonagh and Catherine Greene, and photographs, to look at. Our Gallery Shop will also be open.
There will be free garden tours led by Lesley Fennell at 12.00am on Saturday 8th, 15th and 22nd of February. We look forward to welcoming you.
