Jo's Pantry opens at The Green Barn

Joanna Fennell

Following on her success from the Gallery Café at Burtown House and Gardens, Jo Fennell and her photographer husband James opened The Green Barn, a Scandinavian inspired rustic building housing their exciting new restaurant. The view from The Green Barn is a wonderful mix of autumnal colours where you can see the organic kitchen produce being cultivated and cut. Alongside the stunning arty interior and garden sculpture this makes for a stimulating and interesting venue to visit.

Jo Fennell

Jo’s food philosophy has always been simple – fresh organic produce from the garden, beautifully flavoured and styled to your plate. She has recently opened Jo’s Pantry a new addition to The Green Barn restaurant where her original dips and herb infused oils can be purchased along with a range of succulent Irish and French cheeses from Sheridan’s with ham and salamis from Pigsback. This makes a visit to The Green Barn a true pleasure. A range of organic home cleaning products are on sale alongside a festive display of Weleda Skin Food and Tisserand Oils to tempt you. Waters & Wild perfumes make a perfect match to this lovely space and are so popular is hard to keep them in stock. It’s time to shop after all - and pick up those little items you can have on hand when a surprise guest arrives at Christmas.

Make sure you put a note in your diary to visit The Green Barn at Burtown House and Gardens, open from Wednesday to Sunday for Brunch and Lunch and Saturday evening dinner.

If you love food, if you love colour and want to spend a tranquil few hours come to The Green Barn.

Families of all ages are welcome and believe it or not, the dog can come too. Take a healthy walk in the gardens, view the garden art and breathe fresh air tinted with the wholesome herbs from the kitchen gardens. What an absolute pleasure.
