A lecture about the different stages involved in creating beautiful gardens, with emphasis on details such as soil, structure (hedges / hard landscaping. While also discussing features such as lighting, sculpture, water features and most importantly planting.
I will also go through some of the gardens that I have created for private clients with before and after photos to illustrate the transformative power of good garden design and finish of the lecture with a run through some of my gold medal winning Show Gardens that I have created both in the UK and Singapore over the last number of years, with particular emphasis on my RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden in 2016 and Last years Singapore Garden Festivals Gold Medal winning design.
Biography – Paul Martin
Paul Martin – Principal Dip. Horticulture (National Botanic Gardens, Dublin) Paul Martin is the founder of Paul Martin Designs, a multi award-winning design studio who has worked with many prestigious clients on ground breaking projects. Paul is dedicated to combining an extensive knowledge of plants with a keen eye for sharp design. Paul has studied in the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin and has over 30 years’ experience in the field of garden design. He combines his expertise in horticulture with high-technical skill in design implementation. His commissions range from private gardens to public spaces and his work r work is frequently featured in magazines and newspapers both in Ireland and abroad. With eleven gold medals to date, Paul is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading garden designers, with a growing international profile and current garden design projects in Ireland, the UK, Europe and South Africa.
